Wendy J. Rosenbek, DVM

Veterinary Medical Director/Hospital Owner
Dr. Wendy Rosenbek is originally from Boulder, Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1984 and earned her veterinary degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, graduating in 1987. After working two years in Knoxville, she returned to her home state to practice until 1995, when her friend and classmate, Dr. Angela Aymett of Pulaski, invited her back to Tennessee.

Dr. Rosenbek (or “Dr. Wendy” to most of her clients) lives with her husband and son on their small farm with many dogs, cats and horses. A long-distance horse-back rider in her leisure time, Dr. Wendy originally planned to be a “horse doctor,” but the complexity and challenge of small animal practice and the opportunity to help people with their pets was ultimately more compelling.

“According to my mother, I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian since before I could speak. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I do feel as if I was born into this profession. I can’t really imagine being satisfied doing anything else.”

Dr. Hardman, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Sarah Hardman was born and raised just 30 minutes south of Nashville, TN. She went to Murray State University in Murray, KY, where she double majored in both the veterinary technician program as well as the pre-veterinary program. She completed her veterinary degree at the University of Missouri, graduating in 2021. She has now returned to her home state of Tennessee to work at Ardmore Companion Animal Hospital and is very excited to learn and grow alongside the amazing doctors here.

Dr. Hardman has two dogs that she enjoys taking on hikes and other adventures. When she isn’t with her fur family, she’s either enjoying a good novel, watching movies, or spending time with her family.

“I told my mother when I was three years old that I wanted to be a veterinarian and that’s never changed. One of my favorite activities as a kid was playing veterinarian with my stuffed animals!”

I see a loving being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.”

Buckshot

Buckshot

Clinic Cat

Buckshot arrived in a cardboard box, gently carried by another kind hearted Good Samaritan. She had found him alongside the road, and judging from the horrific injuries to one hind leg and his tail, we guessed he’d just narrowly missed being killed by a bush-hog or other mower. When we x-rayed him to further assess his injuries we discovered he was full of small metal pellets from being shot, too. He healed beautifully after his leg and tail amputations and has become the friendliest clinic cat we’ve had.
