Shelter & Adoption Links
Ardmore Companion Animal Hospital works closely with a number of animal shelters and rescue organizations in the area by performing spays, neuters and other medical services.
Dr. Rosenbek was one of the first veterinarians in the area to offer juvenile spays and neuters for dogs and cats. These early age sterilization surgeries have allowed shelters all over the country to assure that the animals – even puppies and kittens – they adopt out will not be able to contribute more to the unwanted pet population they are charged with helping control.
On the opposite end of the surgery spectrum, Dr. Rosenbek has had the opportunity to perform surgery on a litter of kittens with a rare birth defect in which their upper eyelids were not formed. These rescued kittens were featured in an article appearing in The Huntsville Times. Read it here.
If you would like to add a cat or a dog to your family please consider adopting a rescued pet from one of the shelters or fosters in our area. Click here to see any pets we currently have available for adoption or drop in for a visit.
